The Motorola Industrial Cordless phone with Built-in Walkie-Talkie works with PBX/Key telephone systems of any size from

1 line to hundreds or even thousands of lines. It connects to an Analog Extension Port of a phone system and simply

becomes another extension phone. This allows use of phone system features including but not limited to pickup of any line,

call transfer, hold, page, intercom between extension phones (corded or cordless), etc. Features are limited only by the

phone system capability, not the CLS1450.

To use the features of your phone system, you’ll press specific keypad buttons on the CLS1450 handset, which vary with

each phone system. For information on your specific phone system, refer to:

COMMON QUESTIONS

Q: Will the 2.4 GHz digital phone interfere with other wireless devices such as wireless computer networks?

A: NO. This cordless phone utilizes Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecom (DECT) protocol and Frequency Hopping Spread-Spectrum

(FHSS) technology which rapidly hops from frequency-to-frequency across the entire 2.4 GHz ISM band every 10 milliseconds.

Built-in Adaptive Frequency Hopping avoids interference with other devices such as WLAN devices (802.11g/b), wireless access

points, network adapters, barcode scanners and other devices.

Q: Can I use more than one CLS1450 handset with the cordless phone base unit?

A: YES, up to 4 handsets may share a single cordless phone base, but, only 1 handset can be on a phone call at any one time.

Consequently most users use only one handset with each phone base.
