TheTransmitInhibitModeisamodeinwhichtheradiosendsnoradiotransmissions.Itisrecommendedto
activatethemodeinRFsensitiveareas,forexamplehospitals,airplanes,wheresafetycanbejeopardizeddue
totransmissionradiation.
Toactivate,selectMENU→More...→Networks→TXIMode→Activate.
Inthismode,theradiodoesnottransmitunderanycircumstancesexceptfortheEmergencyCalls.Allthefunctions
andkeyswhichcausetransmission,forexampleregistrationtothenetwork,changingtalkgrouporfolder,sending
SDSmessages,orpressingthePTTbuttonaredisabled.AnytransmissiontrialcausestheradiotodisplayNot
AllowedInTXIModenoticationandtoplayatone.
Yourradiocanstillreceive:
•messages—storedintheInbox
•calls—storedintheMissedCallslist
withouttheoptiontorespond.
ReceivedGroupCallsarenotstoredontheradio.
Whennodangertosafetyexistsanymore(forexample,youleavetheRFsensitivearea),youcandeactivatethe
TransmitInhibitModeandtheradioreturnstostandardoperation.
YoucandeactivatethemodebyselectingMENU→More...→Networks→TXIMode→Deactivate,pressing
One-Touchbutton,orimplicitlywheninitiatinganEmergencyCall.
RFTransmissionsfromtheradioarepreventedunderthefollowingconditions:
•TXIModeisactivated
•Batteryisremoved
•Radioisturnedoff
