Congratulations! You are now using one of the most versatile, technically advanced, feature-packed alphanumeric display
pagers available.
The Motorola ADVISOR Message Receiver provides a complete personal message center that fits easily in your pocket
or purse, or in a convenient carrying case you can wear on your belt.
The ADVISOR Message Receiver stores complete messages in memory, continuously keeps you informed of the status
of each message, and provides message-memory control with a variety of memory-management functions.
The Motorola ADVISOR Message Receiver offers many convenient features not found on most pagers; therefore, we
suggest that you read this operating instructions manual carefully to get the full benefit from your pager.

CONTROL SUMMARY
READ BUTTON–Used to read messages in memory.
FUNCTION BUTTON–Used to select the ADVISOR’s
special function menu. When pressed and held for one
second, the backlight turns on.
ON/RESET BUTTON–Used to turn the ADVISOR “on,
as well as reset the unit when it is paged.
LAMP–Flashes to give a visual indication when a mes-
sage is received.
DIRECTIONAL CONTROL BUTTONS– These buttons
have several functions:
LEFT and RIGHT BUTTONS–
Used to move the
cursor through the status screen or to preview the first
screen of each message in memory. Also used to
move between various menu functions.
UP and DOWN BUTTONS–
Used to scroll the mes-
sage display forward or back, one line at a time. Also
used to move the cursor between the first and second
lines of the message status screen.
